Our client is a leading player in medical education, developing and manufacturing pioneering medical simulation equipment for both domestic and international healthcare sectors. Multi-award winning and remaining privately owned, the company has grown from table top start up to multi million in revenue, allowing substantial investment to be made across the entire UK manufacturing and commercial domains as well as dedicated sales offices based out of the USA, Sweden and Australia.  Poised for future innovation across its range the company now seeks to introduce a high performing UK Sales Manager who will take full ownership of this important function. You will report on its ongoing development to the board. This is an exciting and rare prospect for a proven visionary leader who can create, define and deliver the forward looking sales strategy across a five year horizon and beyond.

The Role

The UK Sales Manager has responsibility for the development and delivery of the agreed sales budgets for the UK and International Corporate sales sectors along with contributing to the future strategic direction of the overall business. You will lead a team of both internal and external sales representatives and personally manage specialist accounts across the group.

In reporting to and working closely with the main board Commercial Director, your task is to set and develop the sales strategies that will meet and exceed the company`s sales goals in line with the five year business plan. You will attend various sector specific conferences, trade fairs and exhibitions with the aim to become a domain specialist. By keeping up to date on market conditions and competition and in feeding back into the business key information and recommendations on new product development, you will be contributing greatly to the ongoing maturing of the business as it continues on its rewarding globally focussed path.

The Candidate

As with the nature of the product range promoted across a number of healthcare settings you will have enjoyed previous experience in the nursing, medical or life sciences sectors and may possess a qualification to reflect this. You should evidence a number of years selling devices or consumables within a well-positioned recognised brand and possess an ability to deal with a complex product range. Your selling style and track record will show a more consultative approach, using informed and justified data to make your business case highly attractive. Highly organised and numerate, you will be at ease with people management and able to evidence strong leadership from the front whilst providing support and guidance across your team.

Rewards

Salary to £75,000 plus annual bonus up to 30% plus car allowance plus benefit package.
