The Organisation
With an outstanding mix of heritage (formed in 1907) and leading edge products and services in the leisure sector, the Caravan and Motorhome Club is the largest touring club in Europe with superb growth opportunities building on very strong foundations. The club is a membership organisation with a strong commercial ethos driving additional resources to benefit its members, which are reinvested in the business. It employs approximately 1300 staff and has revenues of c.£140m.
The Role
To lead and direct the Club’s entire marketing and communications ecosystem, increasing membership volumes, driving revenue from products, and customer lifetime value.
Reporting to the CEO, with 5 direct reports and over 200 staff.
Strategy: Define and execute the overall marketing strategy in alignment with business goals and customer outcomes.
Revenue Growth: Collaborate with the product owners to promote products and services (campsites, travel, financial services) through targeted marketing campaigns to members and non-members.
Member Growth: Lead strategies to increase membership acquisition and renewal volumes, focusing on high lifetime value segments.
Digital Engagement: Lead the development and delivery of digital engagement services, including website, forums, social media channels, and mobile app content, ensuring high member satisfaction and community growth.
The Candidate
Performance Marketing: Proven expertise in maximising Return on Investment from digital channels and driving Customer Lifetime Value. Director level experience preferred, ideally experience in the travel, leisure or hospitality sectors.
Digital Transformation: Deep experience in a Marketing leadership role overseeing digital-first transformation and maximising digital/social media platforms.
Leadership & Collaboration: Proven capacity to lead, manage, and inspire a diverse team, and a commitment to working effectively in cross-functional teams.
Strategic programme management: Expertise in delivering complex digital development programmes from a systems and customer perspective.
The role will require access to the East Grinstead Head Office for an average of 2 days per week.
