We are seeking an inspirational leader with the kudos and gravitas to be the face of Help for Heroes in the North of the United Kingdom.

Leading the team who deliver the Recovery Service programme for Wounded, Injured and Sick service personnel based in the North, you will be an excellent relationship manager to work with an extensive range of partners in the region who support Help for Heroes.

You will join at an exciting time, when the Recovery Service is moving to a new outreach stage of its development, and there is an ever increasing emphasis on building relationships with a range of external stakeholders in the region.

The Challenge

Evolve the Recovery Service to ensure leading edge and best-in-class delivery, while supporting the launch of the new outreach service, which will take provision to the veteran community in their own locality.

Act as the brand ambassador for Help for Heroes in the North of the UK, working across a diverse range of government, commercial, health and third sector partners to build support for the charity.

Manage a large and multi disciplinary team, inspire them, and communicate a strong vision for the service.

Bring deep empathy and passion for the service personnel, veterans and families who benefit from the Recovery Service.

Bring a mental agility to thrive in an environment of constant change.

Able to demonstrate the ability to get the best out of the team through an approach based on coaching and mentoring.

Have the credibility, presence and ability to engage on a personal level with a wide spectrum of people, and build effective relationships at every level.

The Charity

Help for Heroes is one of the most successful charities ever created. Founded in 2007 by Bryn and Emma Parry, it provides direct practical support for Wounded, Injured and Sick service personnel, veterans and their loved ones.
