Tim brings to Executive Search a leadership toolkit which combines a facilitative style, strategic perspective and creativity with the tenacity, discipline and resilience needed to achieve successful outcomes. He has a track-record of organisation wide impact with extensive experience of working in marketing and communications focused roles in sectors ranging from Higher Education, Consumer Electronics and FMCG to Telecoms, Financial Services and Transport.
The first part of Tim’s career was spent in advertising where he worked for clients including John Smith’s, British Rail, Scottish Amicable, Procter and Gamble, Tropicana, Kellogg’s, United Airlines and Johnnie Walker initially at BMP DDB and then Leo Burnett.
He then spent a decade at Sony Europe where he became Director of Marketing Communications and then Director of the Marketing Strategy Office where he led a change programme building organisational excellence in customer centric marketing.
After a stint as a branding consultant he joined the University of Bath as Director of Marketing & Communications, becoming Chief Marketing Officer in 2019. There he led initiatives to improve the quality and effectiveness of internal and external engagement contributing to the University’s Top 10 Status in national rankings and its recognition as University of the Year in 2023.

Tim’s studied French and Latin at Pembroke College Cambridge (where he was part of the University Challenge team) and has an MBA from the Open University. He is a School Governor and enjoys cycling the lanes of Wiltshire, skiing and has begun to learn to ride.
